The wood used for the toys comes from the forests of Pilis Park Forestry Company. All items are handmade from different pieces of wood and can therefore differ slightly.
Eperfa means Mulberry (burr) in Hungarian. It is a toy about nature, inspired by the hills around Budapest and Lake Balaton in Hungary. Eperfa are three Hungarian girls who know and appreciate the fauna and flora of these places. They make toys over the huge trees and birds in the shady forest, the houses, and the lake. They make toys that tell a story about a life in the imagination of a child. They take their responsibility for the next generation seriously. Most of their toys are made in sheltered workshops by disabled or socially disadvantaged people. All the wood material used comes from the Danube Ipoly National Park, because nobody cares for forests better than national parks, taking their ecosystem as a priority, from the smallest to the largest creatures.
